Worship in the Park

Sunday, August 11th (Tomorrow!) at 10:00 a.m. is our annual Worship at Peter Nordeen Park, Gwinn. Picnic luncheon to follow...hot dogs provided by the church. Please bring a lawn chair and a dish to Pass!

P.R.A.Y. Camp is over, but our group leaves a legacy for the future, as we have planted, mulched, composted and watered-in 5 brand new apple trees for the camp! Come back in about ten years for “Applesauce and Cider Camp!”

A well-attended dinner church Last night! And lots of kids too! The message was about “loving one another”...thanks to Dawn Tweedle! At the next one,in two weeks, the rumor mill says the pastor will be bringing all the fixin’s for banana splits! It will be a Gwinn summer highlight! See you there! And INVITE someone!

To all GUMC Emmaus folks... How many times did your sponsor ask you to attend the walk? How many times did YOU say “no?” Did YOUR sponsor give up? No, of course not, and you finally said “yes,” and have never regretted it! How about YOUR potential pilgrim? Have you given up on them? Has God? Now is the time to pray, and prepare to ask them once again. Don’t let them miss out! It would be wonderful to fill up that shiny, new, custom-designed conference room with 6 full tables of pilgrims for the fall walks! If the enrollment fee is holding anyone back, let me know, and we will see what we can do! Don’t let that keep them from coming! Now get to it! Fill those tables!

Don’t forget! Dinner Church tonight at 6 pm.! Focus on Romans 8: 1-17. (The pastor made his critically acclaimed chili...just fyi...)

Announcement: Unfortunately, the volunteers we had lined up to work our VBS this year will be unable to do so, and we have no backups. Since VBS is less than a week away, we will have to cancel this year.

First Sunday of Lent....

Cub Scouts reading Christmas Scripture, testifying as to what they are thankful for, and later praying for their den leader. On a Wednesday night! This is what we’ve been praying for Church!

We are having a great time and learning lots of life skills! Thank you church ! Kids lives are being impacted!

Hey church! Have you heard? We’re in Gaylord, Big Ticket Festival 2018! Thank you God and all who helped us to get here! Your prayers mean so much! Coolest thing ever, watching some unchurched kids finding just the right kind of music(Christian metal?) that speaks to their soul...watching God do his work! So totally AWESOME! These kids are on fire!
